Starting in 1997, after a lifelong interest in animal behavior analysis, I attended numerous APDT-conferences, workshops and seminars in Germany, Switzerland, and the US which formed the foundation for my career as a reward- based, relationship-forming, force-free dog trainer.
Throughout this time, I provided training for shelter dogs as well as in- home training and group training for pet dogs, specializing in solving problems related to aggression and fear. I offered classes for dogs that were reactive when encountering unfamiliar dogs or people. My training is aimed to improve the relationship between the dog and owner, giving the owner the tools to manage critical situations and improve the dog’s confidence as well as change its perception of unfamiliar dogs or people. This is achieved by applying only reward-based, relationship- forming methods like Tellington Touch, nose work, obstacle courses, and counterconditioning.

.I have an 11.6 year old cocker spaniel with anxiety and nipping issues. Im so happy with Sabine as Shelby's trainer. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and takes the time and patience needed in Shelby's situation. I feel Sabine has brought Shelby a long way to alleviate her anxiety and nervous behavior. I would highly recommend Sabine to anyone who is looking for an excellent trainer. I wish I had know about Sabine when Shelby was a puppy as I feel it is beneficial to start as young as possible. "Sabine's rewards-based training methods helped instill better manners in both my dogs, especially my Great Dane. Dea's giant size and exuberant personality sometimes left me feeling overpowered. Sabine explained Dea's motivations and behaviors so that I could understand how to respond correctly. Sabine also patiently modeled training techniques that I could follow and repeat between sessions. Training with Sabine gave me the tools I needed to feel more confident managing Dea and to make her a better canine citizen."
